Additionally, we actively gather feedback on policies impacting the economy, businesses, and SMEs, facilitating a productive dialogue between government and industry stakeholders.
GBWEA currently maintains cooperative agreements with several esteemed organizations, including the Guangdong Women Entrepreneurs Association, the Taiwan Women Entrepreneurs Association, the China Industrial and Commercial Women Enterprise Management Association, the Changsha Women Entrepreneurs Association, the Shantou Women Entrepreneurs Association, the Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs International Federation, the Taizhou Women Entrepreneurs Association, the Ningbo Women Entrepreneurs Association, the Women Business Enterprises Canada Council and the Women Helping Empower Women. The Association established the Golden Bauhinia Women Entrepreneurs Award in 2016 to recognize outstanding women entrepreneurs to celebrate and be inspirational to other women with an entrepreneurial spirit. To date, 100 women entrepreneurs have received the award.
At the same time, to groom next generation female entrepreneurs, we established GBWEA Charity Fund in 2016 and through generous sponsorship from members and corporates, we launched "Golden Bs Future Leaders scholarship and mentorship program." One unique aspect of our scholarship is that not only do we provide monetary assistance, we also match the scholarship students with our association members whom works in relevant industries. We had many successful cases where students benefited priceless working opportunities and knowledge through their mentors. In addition to the scholarships, all participants in the "Future Leaders Scholarship and Training Program" receive training courses, workshops, lectures, women entrepreneur exchange activities, and corporate internships offered by the association. To date, 80 female college students from low-income families with entrepreneurial potential have received sponsorship and participated in the mentorship program.
In 2022, the "Youth Committee" and "Care Team" were established. Together with the Executive Committee, they actively and spontaneously cooperated with community organizations and neighborhood welfare associations in various districts. Over the years, they have continuously organized members and scholarship students to participate in anti-epidemic and warmth-giving activities, distributing epidemic prevention and daily necessities to people in need, caring about the needs of the grassroots, and overcoming difficulties together.
